The Dominican Republic was called the Mecca of kitesurfing. It was there, in the town of Las Terrenas, that the Legaignoux brothers tested prototypes of the first inflatable kites in the late '90s. In turn, since February 2022, the first Polish kitesurfing school in the Dominican Republic - KITE MECCA - has been operating there year-round. It was founded by one of the dinosaurs of Polish kitesurfing - Łukasz 'Doktor' Pietrzykowski, who has been passionate about this sport for 25 years.
The spot in Las Terrenas is in many ways one of the best places for kitesurfing in the Dominican Republic. A beautiful lagoon with turquoise, flat water, where you can meet turtles, is located in the most beautiful parts of this island. Łukasz firmly claims that he has never been to a place where the conditions for learning were as good as in Las Terrenas. During the training at Kite Mecca, students have been using our BoVests from the very beginning, about which the Doctor has the following opinion:
"Quality, effectiveness and style. When I ordered the first batch of BoVests, I was a bit worried about how they would perform in training conditions. After 2 years of use, in strong sunlight, they look practically the same as the new ones we recently ordered. The quality is absolutely top. Our customers love them. They are very practical, the idea of their construction is brilliantly simple and they look great. I also do not hide my pride in the fact that they were invented and are manufactured in Poland."
